Founded in 1978, Darche Noam Institutions is comprised of Yeshivat Darche Noam/Shapell’s (men’s Yeshiva), Midreshet Rachel v’Chaya (women’s seminary), and Pathways Israel (2 week trips for college students and young professionals interested in deepening their connection to Israel and Judaism). In addition, there is a beginners program for men (Y.E.S.), and a program for married couples in the context of the yeshiva and seminary, where newly married couples spend a year learning jointly at our two schools.

The uniqueness of our institution can be summarized as follows:

1. Focus on the LONG TERM growth of the student, as a critical compliment to the short term injection of inspiration giving them the foundation they need to build Torah homes,
2. Giving students independence in Torah learning, and the ability and motivation to continue study when they leave the institution.
3. A staff the represents the broad spectrum of Torah ideologies

From its inception, Darche Noam Institutions has focused on giving the students the tools needed to build on their initial excitement about Judaism, transforming them into knowledgeable Torah Jews, committed to observance and service to the Jewish people.

Our curriculum and methodology, specifically geared towards an educated adult student body, has been developed by educators well versed in the worlds of Torah, education and psychology. We aim to open up the world of Jewish sources to our students.
