Hashkafa Program

Our Hashkafa program is designed to help talmidim access core issues in Jewish thought and ethics, and integrate them into avodat Hashem, service of G-d. Different faculty members teach various units at different stages of the year, thus exposing our students to a range of sources and teaching styles. We cover topics like "Bitachon: Trust in G-d"; "Man and the Purpose of Existence"; "A Jew's Relationship with G-d"; "Torah, Prophecy, and the Sages"; "The Nation of Israel and Redemption".

A natural outgrowth of the diversity of our faculty is the variety of sources talmidim become exposed to during the year. They include Aggadta, Tefillot, and Pirkei Avot; the Rambam, Rabbi Yehuda Halevi, the Ramchal and the Beit Elokim; the Baal Shem Tov, Sefer Hatanya, and later Sifrei Chassidus; Rav Dessler, Rav Hutner, and Rav Kook. - - - Follow this link to watch Rabbi Shaya Karlinsky's video shiur: "What is Hashkafa?"
