Rabbi Abraham Twerski, MD, on Character

Sefirat Haomer and Building Character #5
Rabbi Abraham Twerski, MD, on Changing Character

In Sefirat Haomer unit #4 -- Changing Character we collected a number of approaches to how to change character. We left out the twelve-step methods. Rabbi Abraham Twerski, MD, a leading authority on alcohol and drug rehabilitation, has strongly endorsed the twelve-step method to rehabilitation popularized by Alcoholics Anonymous. In "Spirituality, Prayer, the Twelve Steps and Judaism," Rabbi Twerski shows how the twelve-steps can be seen as consistent with Jewish tradition.
