Approach
to Learning
Striking
a Delicate Balance
The Midreshet Rachel v'Chaya program, tailor-made for educated
adult Jewish women, aims to delicately balance seemingly
divergent educational goals.
Be
challenged to grow spiritually, personally, and intellectually
in a supportive, nurturing environment. Personal
growth is exciting but challenging. We strive to foster
a warm and friendly environment within which to grow,
with a staff that is helpful, accessible, learned, and
experienced.
Learn how to independently access Torah sources while
strengthening your link to tradition. We have developed
a skills-based curriculum to help open you up to a broad
range of Jewish texts. It is taught by faculty who are
steeped in tradition and strive to pass on what they
have gained from their own mentors.
Study in the classroom and learn outside of it. Our
intensive curriculum combines formal instruction with
independent chavruta-partner work. Those are complemented
by a broad program of tours of the land of Israel, Shabbatonim,
holiday celebrations, guest lectures and special events.
Every student also participates in the Chesed program,
making a real difference in people's lives and growing
in the process.
Be part of a close community
that respects your individuality.
Our students are taught to realize
both their uniqueness as individuals, and the joy and
importance of connecting up with others. Friendships
grow and develop at Midreshet Rachel v'Chaya that last a lifetime;
and a Darche Noam community reflecting the diversity
of Darche Noam Institutions has emerged both in Israel
and the Diaspora.
Our alumni are very active in the Jewish community at
large, acutely aware of their responsibities as Jews.
